The town of Biggar is an ancient settlement situated to the south of Edinburgh in the Southern Uplands, the southernmost of Scotland’s three major geographical areas. Biggar is the hub of a wide rural area and the bustling market town is serviced by the arterial A702, which links Edinburgh to Carlisle and the rest of the Northwest of England.
